Heart scan breakthrough could catch deadly lung pressure sooner
NCT ID NCT06038149
Summary
This study is testing a new heart scan method called the IMPULSE algorithm to see if it can better detect high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension). It involves 200 UK patients who have unexplained breathlessness or risk factors for the condition. The goal is to see if this new method is more accurate than current guidelines at spotting the disease early.
