Summary

This study tested two approaches to help doctors communicate better with patients who have speech, hearing, or language disabilities. Researchers compared doctor training alone versus doctor training plus a simple checklist patients could use to tell doctors their communication preferences. The goal was to see if these tools improved patients' healthcare experiences and quality of life during primary care visits.
