Finding the right fluid balance: new test could help save lives in severe infection

NCT ID NCT07279064

Summary

This study aims to find a better way to tell if patients with severe septic shock need more IV fluids. It will compare a traditional pressure measurement with a newer ultrasound method in 70 adult patients. The goal is to help doctors give the right amount of fluid—enough to help, but not so much it causes harm.
