NCT ID NCT01400880
First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a new electrode-based sensor that sticks to the belly to monitor the baby's heart rate and the mother's contractions during labor. The goal was to see if it works better than current monitors, especially for women with obesity, and requires less help from nurses. 103 pregnant women at 34 weeks or more took part, and the sensor's readings were compared to the standard internal monitor.
