New eye scanner could simplify surgery prep for dense cataracts
NCT ID NCT07475832
Summary
This study compared two devices used to measure the eye before cataract surgery. It focused on patients with dense cataracts, where getting a clear measurement can be difficult. Researchers wanted to see if a newer device (ARGOS) could get the needed measurement more often than a common device (IOLMaster 700), which might reduce the need for a more time-consuming manual ultrasound test.
