Brain scan breakthrough could help more kids beat severe epilepsy

NCT ID NCT06271785

Summary

This study is testing a detailed brain mapping technique to better predict which children with severe, medication-resistant epilepsy will become seizure-free after surgery. It will involve 120 children who are already being considered for surgery. The goal is to use this new scan to more accurately identify good candidates, potentially helping more children get this effective but underused treatment.
