Summary
This study tested an automatic alert in electronic health records to remind doctors to prescribe recommended heart failure medications. Over 1,100 patients with weak heart pumping function took part across four health systems. The goal was to see if the alert increased prescriptions for key drugs like mineralocorticoid antagonists and beta-blockers.
