New scan aims to spot hidden breast cancer better
NCT ID NCT05931302
Summary
This study aims to find out if a new type of PET scan (68Ga-FAPI-46) is better at finding and mapping lobular breast cancer than the standard scan (18F-FDG). It will involve 40 adults newly diagnosed with this specific cancer type who have not yet started treatment. Each participant will receive both scans so researchers can directly compare their accuracy in detecting the cancer's location and extent.
