New brain monitor aims to spot silent seizures in critically ill babies
NCT ID NCT06726408
Summary
This study is testing a new brain monitoring system designed for babies and young children in intensive care. It aims to better detect seizures and other brain problems that often go unnoticed. The system combines a simplified brain wave monitor with tools to help doctors interpret the readings. Researchers hope this will lead to faster and more accurate treatment decisions for critically ill infants.
