New brain test combo could spot hidden, treatable condition
NCT ID NCT07427836
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to diagnose a brain condition called idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH), which causes walking, thinking, and bladder problems in older adults. Researchers will combine memory tests, walking exams, brain scans, and spinal fluid analysis in 116 patients over 60 to see if this combined approach can more accurately identify who has iNPH and who would benefit from surgery. The goal is to help doctors make more accurate diagnoses so patients can get the right treatment sooner.
