New scans aim to decode brain Cancer's tricky signals

NCT ID NCT06319027

Summary

This study is testing if advanced imaging techniques can help doctors better understand brain scans of people with glioblastoma, a serious brain cancer. After standard radiation treatment, it can be hard to tell on a regular MRI if the tumor is actually growing or if the changes are just a temporary reaction to the therapy. Researchers will use special types of MRI and PET scans on 100 newly diagnosed patients to see if these methods can more accurately predict survival and distinguish real tumor growth from treatment effects.
