New monitoring method aims to stop Surgery-Related organ damage

NCT ID NCT05496322

Summary

This study tested whether using a continuous blood pressure monitor during surgery is better than the standard method of checking every few minutes. The goal was to see if catching blood pressure highs and lows faster could prevent serious complications like heart or kidney injury after surgery. It involved over 1,200 adults having planned, non-heart surgeries.
