Scientists hunt for Superbug-Killing antibiotic cocktails
NCT ID NCT06833593
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to treat serious bloodstream infections caused by the bacteria Enterococcus faecalis. Researchers will compare giving patients a single antibiotic versus a combination of antibiotics to see which leads to better recovery. They will also study how the treatment affects the patient's gut bacteria and if those bacteria influence the infection's outcome.
