Summary
This study tests whether giving betaine supplements to breastfeeding mothers can help prevent rapid weight gain in babies, which is linked to future obesity. About 47 mothers with overweight or obesity will take betaine or a placebo for 3 months while breastfeeding. Researchers will track infant growth, body fat, and gut health up to age 4.
