NCT ID NCT07044726

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether using sterile water instead of Betadine to clean the urethra before placing a temporary catheter changes the chance of getting a urinary tract infection or causes more pain. About 148 adults who need a catheter in the clinic will take part. The goal is to see if a simpler, gentler method is just as safe.
