NCT ID NCT04513028

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how beta-glucan, a natural fiber found in foods like oats and mushrooms, affects the immune system in people with stage III or IV melanoma who are already taking the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab. Researchers will measure changes in immune cells from blood samples. The goal is to understand if beta-glucan can enhance the immune response, not to directly treat the cancer.
