Study tests which pictures help stroke patients move better

NCT ID NCT07097779

Summary

This study aimed to find out which type of visual instruction—photos, videos, or simple pictograms—helps people recovering from stroke perform physical movements most accurately and with the least mental effort. Fifty stroke survivors who could stand for a minute viewed the different aids and performed simple tasks in a single 20-minute session. Researchers measured their movement accuracy, how often they re-watched the instructions, and which aid they preferred to understand which method works best for different people.
