Electric shocks plus bleomycin: a new hope for vascular malformations?

NCT ID NCT07579962

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a new treatment called bleomycin electrosclerotherapy (BEST) for people with low-flow vascular malformations (abnormal blood or lymph vessels). The treatment combines a drug (bleomycin) with short electrical pulses to make the drug work better and shrink the malformation. The study will include 140 adults whose malformations did not improve or came back after previous treatments. The main goal is to see how much the lesion shrinks 3 months after treatment.
