Knee surgery showdown: which graft is best?
NCT ID NCT03073083
Summary
This study aimed to find the best source of tissue for repairing a torn knee ligament (ACL). It compared three types of grafts taken from the patient's own knee: from the kneecap tendon, hamstring tendon, or quadriceps tendon. Researchers followed 439 active adults for two years after surgery to see which graft led to the most stable knee and best recovery.
