Summary

This study aims to find the best alternative treatment for Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP), a serious lung infection that affects people with weakened immune systems. When the standard antibiotic treatment can't be used due to allergies, side effects, or poor response, doctors currently choose between several alternatives without clear evidence about which works best. The trial will compare these alternative medications in 416 immunocompromised adults to determine which provides the best balance of effectiveness and safety.
