NCT ID NCT07474532

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving older hospital patients an educational leaflet about benzodiazepines (medicines for sleep or anxiety) can change their attitudes toward reducing or stopping these drugs. Researchers will survey 96 geriatric patients before and after they receive the leaflet to see if their beliefs become more open to deprescribing. The goal is to understand how to better support safe medication reduction in older adults.
