Summary

This study is comparing a newer cholesterol-lowering pill called bempedoic acid against standard statin medications. It's for adults at risk for heart disease who have a hard time taking statins regularly due to side effects or other reasons. The main goals are to see which treatment lowers 'bad' cholesterol more effectively and which one people can tolerate better over six months.
