Can cash rewards help fight obesity in Low-Income communities?
NCT ID NCT04353258
Summary
This study tested whether a program using financial incentives and smartphone tools could help adults from economically disadvantaged backgrounds lose weight. It involved 195 adults with obesity who used their phones to track progress and could earn small monetary rewards. The goal was to see if these behavioral strategies were more effective than standard advice for promoting lasting weight loss in this population.
