Can a beetroot boost fix exercise fatigue from missed periods?

NCT ID NCT07019129

Summary

This study is testing whether drinking beetroot juice can help women who have stopped having their periods. The lack of periods can reduce a key hormone (estrogen), which may weaken muscles and slow recovery after exercise. Researchers think the nitrate in beetroot juice might act as an alternative source for a body chemical (nitric oxide) to improve muscle power and how quickly oxygen returns to muscles after working out.
