Beetroot juice trial aims to ease strain on heart after lung clots

NCT ID NCT07431229

Summary

This study is testing whether a natural compound in beetroot juice can help patients with a serious type of lung blood clot. The clot causes high pressure in the lungs, putting dangerous strain on the heart. Researchers want to see if the beetroot juice safely relaxes lung blood vessels to reduce this pressure and help stabilize patients in the first few days.
