Nurses with ultrasound aim to speed up hospital diagnoses
NCT ID NCT06529315
Summary
This study tested whether using portable, bedside ultrasound machines in general medical wards helps doctors make faster and more accurate diagnoses. Researchers trained nurse practitioners to perform these quick scans on 144 adult patients admitted from the emergency department. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce the need for other tests and help patients leave the hospital sooner.
