NCT ID NCT07178353
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at how quickly muscle loss and changes in metabolism happen when healthy young adults stay in bed for 5 days. Researchers will measure muscle size, strength, and how the body uses sugar before and after bedrest. The goal is to understand the early effects of inactivity, not to test a treatment. Participants must be 18-30 years old, healthy, and not taking medications that affect muscle.
