Could a 15-degree tilt stop oxygen drops during routine scopes?

NCT ID NCT07594951

First seen May 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether raising the head of the bed to 15 degrees (instead of lying flat) can reduce the chance of low oxygen levels during painless stomach and colon exams. About 400 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two positions. The goal is to find a simple way to make these procedures safer, especially for older or heavier patients.
