First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests two strategies to help people with osteoarthritis (OA) get more active and manage pain. Researchers will compare different text-message approaches to see which one gets more people to join physical activity counseling, and then whether joining a walking program helps reduce pain and improve daily life. The study involves 346 adults aged 45 and older who have OA in their lower body or spine.
