Bean diet may cut Obesity-Linked cancer risk

Summary

This study looks at whether eating canned, pre-cooked beans can improve the balance of healthy bacteria in the gut and reduce the effects of obesity on colorectal cancer risk. About 70 adults who are overweight or have a history of colorectal cancer or precancerous polyps will participate. Researchers will measure changes in gut bacteria and blood markers over 8 weeks.
