NCT ID NCT02843425
Summary
This study is testing whether eating canned beans can improve the healthy bacteria in your gut and lower the cancer risk linked to obesity. It involves people who are overweight and have a history of colorectal cancer or precancerous polyps. Participants are randomly assigned to add beans to their diet or follow their normal diet for 8-week periods, and researchers measure changes in stool and blood samples.
