Diet hack to supercharge cancer immunotherapy?

NCT ID NCT07564219

First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether raising a natural molecule called beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) — through a low-carb diet or a special supplement — can safely make immunotherapy work better for people with multiple myeloma. About 45 participants receiving either CAR-T cells or bispecific antibodies will be randomly assigned to a ketogenic diet, a BHB supplement, or standard care. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can boost immune cell activity.
