Serve, volley, lower pressure: beach tennis tested as hypertension therapy

NCT ID NCT03909321

Summary

This study tested whether playing recreational beach tennis twice a week for 12 weeks could help lower blood pressure in adults with hypertension. Researchers compared 42 participants who played beach tennis to a group that did not exercise, measuring their 24-hour blood pressure and fitness levels. The goal was to see if this fun, social sport could be an effective way to manage high blood pressure and improve overall physical health.
