Cheaper endometriosis drug may work as well as costly standard for IVF success

NCT ID NCT07134920

First seen May 06, 2026 ยท Last updated May 06, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 99 IVF patients with a positive BCL6 test (a marker for endometriosis) to see if a cheaper, better-tolerated oral drug (norethindrone acetate) works as well as the standard expensive injection (Depo Lupron) before embryo transfer. The goal was to compare pregnancy and live birth rates between the two treatments. This is a retrospective review, not a new treatment trial, so it helps guide future care but does not prove a cure.
