First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether combining a brain-computer interface with virtual reality can improve arm and hand movement in stroke survivors. Twelve adults who had a stroke 6 to 24 months ago will each try both the VR-enhanced training and a standard brain-computer interface training. The goal is to see if the VR version leads to better recovery of movement and daily function.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could point toward a more effective rehabilitation method for stroke survivors to regain arm and hand function.

What could go wrong
