Can a simple supplement fix Veterans' sleep?
NCT ID NCT03990909
Summary
This study is testing whether taking a dietary supplement called branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) can improve sleep quality and thinking skills in Veterans who have trouble sleeping. Researchers will recruit 300 Veterans and randomly assign them to take either the BCAA supplement or a placebo powder twice a day for three weeks. They will track sleep patterns, pain sensitivity, and cognitive function before and after the supplement period to see if it helps.
