Scientists test how building blocks of protein fuel muscles

NCT ID NCT06218264

Summary

This study aimed to understand how specific protein components, called branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), affect muscle growth and the body's ability to manage blood sugar. Researchers compared two drink formulas in 24 healthy young volunteers to measure their muscle's response. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about how our bodies process nutrients, not to treat any disease.
