New hope for COPD patients as experimental drug enters human testing

Summary
This is the first human study of an experimental drug called BBT002 for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The main goal is to check if the drug is safe and how it behaves in the body, first in healthy volunteers and then in people with COPD. Researchers will give increasing doses to small groups to find the safest amount before testing it further.
