New hope for stubborn high blood pressure when other drugs fail

Summary

This study is testing whether a new drug called baxdrostat can safely lower blood pressure in adults whose high blood pressure is not controlled by their current medications. About 326 participants, who are already taking two or more blood pressure drugs, will receive either baxdrostat or a placebo pill for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if baxdrostat leads to a greater reduction in blood pressure compared to the dummy pill.
