Summary
This study tested an investigational drug called barzolvolimab in adults with active eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a chronic inflammatory condition that makes swallowing difficult. The goal was to see if the drug could safely reduce the specific immune cells causing inflammation in the esophagus and improve patients' swallowing symptoms. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo for comparison over 12 weeks.
