First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at why women from ethnic minority backgrounds often wait to get medical help for urinary incontinence (leaking urine) or pelvic organ prolapse (when pelvic organs drop). Researchers will survey 160 women and interview others to understand barriers like embarrassment, lack of knowledge, or cultural factors. The goal is to learn what stops them from seeking care and how to make it easier.
