First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a special imaging capsule that people swallow to take pictures of the esophagus. The goal is to see if it can accurately detect Barrett's esophagus, a condition that can lead to cancer. About 130 adults already scheduled for an endoscopy will swallow the capsule, and the images will be compared to standard biopsy results.
