First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks for Barrett's esophagus, a condition that can lead to cancer, in 25 adults with eating disorders who have been purging (vomiting or ruminating) for at least 5 years. Researchers use a simple non-endoscopic test to check for this damage. The goal is to see how common Barrett's is in this group, who are not currently screened for it.
