Heart failure breakthrough? implanted device aims to slash deaths and hospital stays
NCT ID NCT07232030
Summary
This large study is testing whether adding a small implanted device called Barostim helps people with moderate heart failure live longer and stay out of the hospital. It will compare the device plus usual medications against medications alone in 2500 participants over two years. The goal is to see if stimulating nerves with the device improves heart health beyond what current treatments can do.
