New Nerve-Stimulating implant offers hope for failing hearts
NCT ID NCT07335510
Summary
This study is testing a small implanted device called Barostim in adults with severe heart failure who still have symptoms despite taking all recommended medications. The device stimulates nerves in the neck to help balance the body's automatic systems and improve how the heart works during activity. Researchers will measure changes in heart pressures, exercise ability, and daily step counts over six months to see if the device helps.
