New drug combo may help restore skin color in vitiligo patients

NCT ID NCT04822584

First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether adding baricitinib (a pill) to standard light therapy works better than light therapy alone for adults with active, spreading vitiligo. 49 participants were followed for 12 weeks to measure changes in skin color using a scoring tool. The goal was to see if the combination could slow or reverse pigment loss.
