Summary
This study aims to understand why weight-loss surgery can lead to rapid improvement in type 2 diabetes and heart health. Researchers will follow 40 people with and without diabetes who are having the surgery. They will use advanced scans and blood tests to see if better fat storage in the body is a key reason for the health benefits.
