Can training bar staff stop violence before it happens?
NCT ID NCT07434856
Summary
This study is testing a program called Safe Night Out that trains bar staff to recognize warning signs of sexual violence and intimate partner violence and safely intervene. Researchers will compare 50 bars in Sacramento, half with the training and half without, by surveying 650 staff and patrons over 18 months. The goal is to see if the program reduces violence and increases safety checks in bars.
