New balloon treatment challenges heart stents for tiny arteries

Summary
This study is testing whether a special balloon coated with medicine (called SELUTION SLR) works as well as or better than standard drug-coated stents for treating new blockages in small heart arteries. About 960 patients with coronary artery disease will be randomly assigned to receive either the balloon treatment or a stent. The main goal is to see which treatment leads to fewer heart-related problems, like heart attacks or the need for repeat procedures, over one year.
