New balloon procedure challenges standard stent for heart blockages
NCT ID NCT07369765
Summary
This study compares two methods to reopen arteries that have been completely blocked for months. Researchers want to see if using a drug-coated balloon is as good as or better than implanting a permanent drug-coated stent. The study will enroll 200 adults with this specific type of severe coronary artery blockage to measure which treatment leads to better long-term results.
